2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Select RWD (51,200 miles) brought in with 'HV Battery Fault' and P0AA6 after a heavy rainstorm. Charge port door also intermittently refusing to unlock. U3003 (HV Battery Isolation Fault) and P0AA6 confirmed via FORScan.
Diagnostic Procedure

1. Confirm P0AA6 and U3003. BECM reports HV positive bus isolation to chassis: 22 kΩ. Negative bus normal.

2. Positive bus fault. Segment HV circuit by disconnecting at junction points. After disconnecting charge port HV inlet connector: positive bus isolation jumps to >2 MΩ. Fault in charge port or its HV cable.

3. Inspect charge port housing. Remove charge port assembly. Visible water staining and mineral deposits inside housing, particularly around HV inlet pins and the chassis ground path inside the port.

4. Charge port seal (door gasket) cut in a semicircle on the lower left — consistent with damage from a direct pressure washer stream against the closed port door.

5. Dry charge port housing thoroughly with heat gun at low setting. Allow 2-hour ambient dry.

6. Replace charge port door seal. Reinstall charge port assembly.

7. HV isolation check: positive bus >1.5 MΩ. Negative bus >1.5 MΩ. Clear all codes.
